Diamond IQ Softball helps younger athletes grow their confidence, improve their skills, and enjoy the game of softball.
As competitive softball players ourselves, we understand how important encouragement, repetition, and game awareness are — especially at younger ages. Our goal is to create fun, high-energy lessons that help athletes improve while feeling supported and motivated.
We focus on:
Strong fundamentals for hitting and fielding
Positive coaching
Softball IQ and decision-making
Leadership and confidence
Building a love for the game
Whether a player is brand new to softball or already playing competitively, we tailor lessons to their experience level and goals.

I started playing softball when I was 8 years old. My interest in softball was cultivated as multi-season player with SDLL Softball. I am now a two time Team All Conference winner playing on the Durham Academy Varsity Team. I have a true passion for the game of softball. I am a starting pitcher and 3rd baseman for the DA Varsity Cavaliers for the second year in a row, and also play travel softball with Riptide 14U Elite. I love teaching girls how to play the game and helping build their confidence. Athletes need to learn how to have fun at a young age but also to develop a solid set of fundamentals to lean on as their skillset evolves. I love kids and their enthusiasm to learn, and I want them to have fun at the same time! My philosophy is that practice makes perfect: we will teach your kids all the fundamentals, but practicing is the only way you get better and that really starts when no one’s watching. In my free time, I love to babysit, bake, and draw. I am CPR and AED trained by the Red Cross. Siyona Gupta
I started playing softball when I was 6 years old. My love of softball started with SDLL (South Durham Little League), where I have played in the spring and fall seasons for the past 6 years. I have been selected onto the SDLL All-Star team for the past 5 years. I am now a rising 8th grader, currently playing on the Durham Academy Varsity team, starting as a shortstop and pitcher. I also play travel softball with Riptide 14U Select. I was awarded All Conference Honors in my first year on the varsity team. Teaching softball to younger athletes is something that is important to me because we need to support female athletes to not only make them better at the game, but also find positive role models for them to feel supported as they grow in this game. Whether it’s learning how to hit line drives or figuring out the mental game, I love teaching interested students about all aspects of this game. I am CPR and AED certified from the Red Cross, and absolutely adore kids. In my free time, I love drawing, hanging out with friends and of course, watching college softball! (Go Duke!)
